Expertise

If the real estate markets were static, there would be no industry. If we all chose to live in the same home, in same community, and never moved, there would be little need for realtors. If we didn't marry or get divorced, had no children and never changed jobs,  there would be even less need for realtors. However, because few of us are static, we look for realtors to help us make sense of the real estate industry. We'd like to better understand the market events that may impact our buying and selling of homes. 

Real estate is a dynamic industry that is forever changing. New platforms and business models are introduced almost daily. They all portend to have the answers. Technology has made information far more accessible to everyone. Information that is both accurate, and sometimes not as relevant as we'd like.  I assume the role of curator of the data, and to help clients make sense of all the information.  I present and help them choose what is important and relevant to their specific needs and life phases. The benefits of having a working relationship with a licensed real estate professional go far beyond what a mobile app, online video, or website can do.

I provide my clients with information on market conditions and what's relevant to their specific neighborhood. This customized analysis includes recent comparable sales that factor into an offer and acceptance strategy.

Negotiations

There are 52 negotiable components of a Washington State Real Estate Contract. However, perhaps the single most important variable, is not found found on any contract. Collaboration and communication. Without either,  it's unlikely that a transaction will close on time. Or at all. In fact, collaboration and communication are so intertwined, the both have 13 characters.  Successful negotiations help move a conversation forward and transform the process into an agreement that benefits all parties. Negotiations doesn't mean being adversarial, it means communicating and truly understanding what is important.  I keep my clients’ best interests top of mind as I negotiate on their behalf.
